Not long ago, a meeting for congratulating the innovators was held at the township farm in Songwon County.

They provided various essentials and new clothes to her and prepared special foods for her on holidays and her birthday.

When she was getting married, the officials in the county prepared a wedding for her and took paternal care of her, securing household goods for her.

The officials reminded Kim Pyol of her parents, who had already passed away.

Later on, the officials and her comrades gave her strength and courage when she felt weak and rejoiced over and congratulated her on her achievement.

Thanks to their sincerity, she could grow up to be a high-yield farmer.

Looking back upon the past days, she hardened her will to repay the benevolence of the country and the love and trust of the collective.

A Large Family

People call the family of Rim Mun Bok, an old man living in Neighborhood Unit No.２５ of Taedonggang-dong in Taedonggang District, a large family with many members.

The old couple have been bringing up orphans for tens of years and the orphans who grew up got married and had children, increasing the members of the family to over sixty.

What’s more, those from the Taedonggang Foodstuff Store including Jon Pok Sun, who are taking good care of the family, have become the members of the family, too.

They started visiting the family after learning about the laudable deeds of the old couple.

Since then, they have often visited the family for several years and, in this course, joined the members of the old couple’s family.

Witnessing their warm sincerity, the old couple keenly realized how benevolent our socialist system is.

That’s why the old couple say that it is none other than the socialist country that brings up their children.

On Day of Leaving Hospital

In late March last, a touching scene could be seen in the hospital of Ranam District, Chongjin City.

Jon So Yong, who had been in a critical condition due to an unexpected accident a few months before, finally regained his health and left the hospital amid warm blessings of people.

It was common for patients to leave the hospital after restoration of health.

However, as he could be restored to his health thanks to the devoted sincerity of lots of people, Jon was full of gratitude.

Medical workers of the hospital devoted their all to his revival when even his family members were disappointed.

They were not the only ones who dedicated sincerity to him.

Security officers of the public security station in the district as well as officials and employees of the district paper factory where Jon was working devoted themselves to Jon’s resuscitation.

Even family members of the security officers frequented him with valuable tonics and nourishing foodstuffs good for the recuperation and encouraged him.

Whenever the family members of the patient expressed gratitude, they used to say that it is a common thing in our country to help each other, regarding others’ pains as one’s own.

Thanks to such devoted efforts of grateful people, Jon began to rally and eventually left the hospital after １００-odd days.

That day Jon was filled with pride in living under the most advantageous socialist system where all the people form a large family.
