In Order to Face-lift Mountain Branch School
Yongchun Branch of Kukhwa Primary School in Jangphung County was totally facelifted last September and greeted a new term.
It is attributable to the devoted efforts of the officials and men of the Kaesong Municipal Security Bureau.
In December two years ago, Kim Chol Min and other officials of the bureau who went to Kukhwa-ri in Jangphung County on business realized that they were building a new branch after pulling down two old ones in the ri.
They visited the construction site without letup.
They were speechless while looking round the construction site.
A few days later, a consultation was held in a room of a senior official of the bureau.
Discussed there were issues of assuming the construction and detailed ways for its implementation.
They secured materials for the construction and transported them with great efforts.
Whenever exhausted, they regained strength thinking of children looking forward to studying in new classrooms.
When they were done with the architectural works, they replaced the entrance door, classroom doors, tables, desks, chairs, LCD TVs and other teaching tools with new ones.
However, they were not content with what they had done.
Imagining the children entering the new school in new uniforms carrying new schoolbags with new school things in them, they thought the teachers had to be dressed up, too.
They made redoubled efforts to provide all the teachers at the school with new clothes.
The teachers were full of excitement and deep emotions, looking at the packagings of clothes with their names on them.
Last September when a new term started, lots of people gathered at the school to see their children learning in fancy classrooms.
They unanimously praised that they were genuine people’s security officers.
In November last year, Kim Chol Min, who took part in the event for celebrating the ８０th founding anniversary of the state security organ, secured computers and visited the branch school again immediately after return.
Such warm sincerity of the people who actively support education serves as a foundation for the rising generation.
The bell ringing at the branch school and the sound of students reading out vividly tell this.
