Meanwhile, Chairman
Once, the Chairman visited the editorial department of "Sonyon Sinmun" of the Kumsong Youth Publishing House (Minju Chongnyon Publishing House at that time) to give detailed tasks for the paper saying that "Sonyon Sinmun" was the fellow traveller of the children’s union members to be model in their study and life.
And now the respected General Secretary
The respected General Secretary clearly indicated the orientation and ways for editing the newspaper including the issue of intensifying five-point education among schoolchildren and letting them give fuller play to noble virtues and traits.
Along with the paper "Sonyon Sinmun" which has successfully performed its mission as fellow traveller and ideological weapon of schoolchildren, a lot of schoolchildren grew up as loyalists and patriots. Among them are juvenile heroes who formed juvenile guards and guerrillas to defend native places during the Fatherland Liberation War, juvenile martyrs who protected portraits of the peerlessly great men at the cost of their lives and children’s union members who carefully tendered numerous pine-nut trees to please the Party.
Today our schoolchildren soundly and courageously grow up as loyalists, genuine young revolutionaries and patriots following only our Party, while willingly reading "Sonyon Sinmun".
Thanks to the wise guidance of the peerlessly great men, the juvenile publications such as "Sonyon Sinmun", "Chongnyonjonwi" and "Saenal" have been able to educate the rising generations with the Party’s ideology and arouse them to the revolutionary struggle and construction true to the Party’s idea of prioritizing posterity.
