Every creation erected on this land under the loving care of the motherly Party is brilliant entities reflecting the undying journey and great leadership of the great Workers' Party of Korea which has endeavored after new life and new civilization of the people, holding the most far-reaching ideal.
The work for realizing people’s civilization and promoting their well-being conducted by our Party which devotes its all to the people left indelible marks in every page of the past five years' gigantic construction campaign.
The Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area, a coastal tourist city of national value, has been developed on the Kalma peninsula, famous for its beautiful coastal scenery, the Paektusan area developed into a characteristic combined four-season mountainous tourist resort and a unique architectural group comprising hot-spring therapy and recuperation facilities and comprehensive service bases with the best conditions built in an excellent place of Onpho.
That’s not all.
A new appearance of high civilization with another peculiar characteristic was unfolded in the Yompunjin area and modern hospitals and leisure complexes were splendidly built in different parts of the capital city and provinces to enjoy praise of people as palaces of protecting the people’s health and laughter.
All these successes are the precious fruition brought about by the ennobling outlook on people of the WPK which regards the people’s laughter as a symbol of the socialist system and, at the same time, an epitome showing the appearance of our state and the people that will enjoy a higher civilization before long.
The Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area which presents a spectacular sight of new civilization and well-being, enhancing its peculiar attraction as the most coastal scenic spot in the DPRK, is associated with devotion made by the respected Comrade General Secretary to build the tourist resort as a monumental edifice of eternal value for the people.
The respected Comrade General Secretary visited the construction site in the early morning of one April day in ２０１９ and stressed that as the Party directs with mind enormous funds and labor to the construction of the tourist area for the people, it is necessary to ensure the quality of every building at the highest level so that it should be perfect ５０ or １００ years later, too.
When he visited the construction site turning into a cultural tourist resort for the people on July １６, ２０２４, the respected Comrade General Secretary stressed the need to further expand the successes, not slackening the high spirit, as the project had entered its final stage, and to make full preparations for the operation of the tourist area.
He gave field guidance at Myongsasimni in the east coast even on the last day of December ２０２４ when the year was falling and gave important guidelines on building a tourist industry in the new era.
In June last year, the respected Comrade General Secretary personally cut the inauguration tape.
Looking round the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area, he said with great satisfaction that what he most wanted to do for the people and to which the Party devoted a great deal of effort for a long time with cherished desire were translated into a brilliant reality, and that our inexhaustible pioneering spirit was fully demonstrated once again through the gigantic construction project.
The transformation of the Wonsan Kalma area is, indeed, a brilliant fruition of the profound thinking and inexhaustible efforts of the respected Comrade General Secretary, who continues ceaseless journey of devotion with fervent zeal for plucking even a star out the sky for the sake of the people.
The Onpho Working People's Holiday Camp, too, is associated with our Party’s warm love.
The respected Comrade General Secretary repeatedly visited the camp under construction to provide our people with another distinctive base for cultural life and carefully guided the work to complete all its elements as required by the new era making steady progress.
On the significant day of inauguration of the holiday camp, the respected Comrade General Secretary referred to our Party’s stand of giving utmost priority to steadily expanding cultural life sphere for the improvement of the people’s well-being.
The Hwasong area, which can be called an epitome of new life, new happiness and new civilization enjoyed by our people, is permeated with warm love of the respected Comrade General Secretary who paid deep attention to simultaneously promoting the housing construction and the construction of modern and diverse bases for cultural life.
Indeed, the entities of high civilization which were erected and will be steadily erected on this land under the loving care of our Party are products of the people-first policy of our Party that puts forward them as the enjoyers of all the welfare benefits.
It is the real value of those edifices which cannot be evaluated by any natural beauty or architecture and measured in terms of huge amount of funds.
Construction work for fully solving the housing problem of the people and continuously creating civilization of a higher level is being further expanded during the new long-term plan period, too.
