Anyone who lives on this land cherishes an outlook on patriotism.
It is that loyalty to the leader is the highest expression of patriotism.
This outlook on patriotism peculiar to our people is more deeply rooted in the hearts of all the officials, Party members and working people who are vigorously advancing along the road of the comprehensive national rejuvenation under the guidance of the respected Comrade General Secretary
Our people realized the truth that loyalty to the leader is the highest expression of patriotism through neither books nor someone’s explanation.
It was some dramatic life experiences that made all generations of the Republic keenly feel that the leader is just the country and his greatness means the mightiness of the state.
Those life experiences served as an important occasion of forming and consolidating the view on patriotism peculiar to our people, which regards loyalty to the leader as the most ardent love and devotion to the country.
The noble outlook on patriotism, which has been carried forward invariably through generations, is further developed along with ardent experiences of our generation and deeply cherished as an unshakable faith in the mind of all the people today when a new era of prosperity is being opened up thanks to the outstanding leadership of the respected Comrade General Secretary.
The past five years was really a difficult period.
We were faced with such severe hardships as to be miraculous with just enduring them including the challenges of the hostile forces which were ever extreme coupled with natural disasters and the worst health crisis.
But we overcame all those difficulties.
We have not merely overcome them but recorded the annals of the most glorious victory of the Republic, the heyday of the overall development of socialism.
The plan for building ５０ ０００ flats in Pyongyang was successfully over-fulfilled, over １１０ ０００ new rural houses were built in cities and counties across the country and the project of building tens of thousands of dwelling houses was completed in the Komdok area.
Tens of thousands of new houses were built in flood-hit areas of North Phyongan, Jagang and Ryanggang provinces.
In addition, modern regional-industry factories were built in one-fifth of the regions in mere two years’ time since the adoption of the Party’s Regional Development ２０×１０ Policy.
The scope of struggle for regional development has expanded day by day, and new creations have been born one after another in various fields, such as models of city and county hospitals, ideal farm towns and leisure complexes, multifunctional bases for cultural activities, and a model of modern farm village and modern livestock farming.
Our people still remember the ceaseless journey of patriotic devotion made by the respected Comrade General Secretary with the noble outlook on life that he has nothing more to wish for even though his body may be scattered like a grain of sand on the road for the good of the rising generation in order to turn our country into a socialist powerful state.
The more we experience that the country is strong with the unshakable faith and will of the respected Comrade General Secretary, the younger our country is thanks to his noble ideal and practice, and our socialism is more beautiful thanks to his love and affection, the more we feel proud of our state and being a Korean.
We also grow firmer in our faith that the road of making a genuine contribution to the prosperity of the country is guaranteed by invariably upholding the leadership of the respected Comrade General Secretary, a peerless patriot, and that only then will the patriotic life be glorified.

These experiences that powerfully confirmed the outlook on patriotism that runs through the whole history of the DPRK have aroused the whole country to the all-people patriotic struggle for faithfully upholding the idea and leadership of the respected Comrade General Secretary.
A true patriot of our era is the one who always thinks first of what the respected Comrade General Secretary intends and wishes to do, knows how to find out work for the country and strives to do it.
Loyalty to the respected Comrade General Secretary is the genuine and highest expression of patriotism.
This steadfast outlook on patriotism is now firmly established in the minds of all our people as the days go by through their actual experience in the grandiose struggle to usher in a heyday of the overall development of socialism under the leadership of the respected Comrade General Secretary.
Now our people keenly feel how glorious the life dedicated to the country upholding the leadership of the respected Comrade General Secretary is and turn out as one in the heroic struggle for hastening the brighter future of the country with fresh hopes and resolutions.
Our people who cherished the outlook on patriotism, which regards loyalty to the idea and leadership of the respected Comrade General Secretary as the most ardent love for the country, as part of their faith and mental qualities will surely achieve a greater victory in the struggle for implementing the decisions of the Ninth Party Congress.
