That day, he emphasized that the successes, experience and standard gained and achieved during the construction of Samjiyon City are clear guidelines with which our Party can promote its regional construction policy toward a correct orientation, which is of great significance in today’s struggle for making a new start of regional transformation.
Then he gave a meaningful instruction that the construction of Samjiyon City constituted the starting point of a new revolution for letting regional people lead a civilized material and cultural life.
Thus, a wonderful example for regional and rural construction was created in the course of the construction of Samjiyon City based on the blueprint unfolded by the respected Comrade General Secretary.
Visiting a Farm Transformed into Fairyland Village
In September ２０２０, the respected Comrade General Secretary inspected Kangbuk-ri, Kumchon County, which was built as a socialist fairyland village after ridding itself of the aftermath of a natural disaster.
That day, he told the accompanying officials that it was imperative to map out more feasible long-term goals for regional construction, rural construction in particular, and that the nationwide support should be greatly increased to the responsible and important undertaking for accelerating the civilized development of farms to renovate their appearances and for turning our farms into rich and cultural socialist ones possessed of modern technology.
He continued that urgently needed were more earnest studies into and measures about the immediate tasks and long-term goals of our Party for fulfilling the far-reaching programme for socialist rural construction planned by the President and the Chairman, and that the Party Congress would give a clear answer to the important question.
Even when everyone was rejoiced to see the wonderful fairyland village, the respected Comrade General Secretary was maturing his great plans for radically renovating all the farms in the country.
The officials were full of strong emotion, looking up to him who clarified the orientation of rural construction, spending his precious time to turn ours into socialist ideal farms at an early date.
To turn ours into rich and cultural socialist farms possessed of modern technology--this was the strong desire kept in the heart of the respected Comrade General Secretary and a noble will he hardened firmer in Kangbuk-ri, which was turned into a socialist ideal village after recovering from the damage by natural disaster.
Indeed, the ardent desire and rock-firm will of the respected Comrade General Secretary gave birth to the era of gigantic changes of rural revolution.
