One day in August ２０２４, the respected Comrade General Secretary
He had already presented a modern hospital to the people in Samjiyon City, which he had initiated to turn into a model of the country in all fields.
Later, he had given precious instructions as to remodeling all the hospitals in the country on several occasions and paid deep attention to letting the regional people not only enjoy a material life that is enjoyed by the citizens of the capital city but also lead a life in good health and without any worry.
That was why he wanted to push ahead with the hospital construction with the construction of regional-industry factories.
To the officials full of such thoughts, the respected Comrade General Secretary earnestly told that it was really a hard yet essential decision to make to build all the city and county hospitals anew in the present situation.
Presently, he taught that it is one of the most important revolutionary tasks facing our Party to take responsibility for the people’s health and that it is the attitude of a revolutionary to make the hardest decision in times of the greatest hardship and difficulties.
As he regards it as one of the most important revolutionary tasks to take responsibility for the people’s health, the respected Comrade General Secretary hardened his will to let all the people enjoy benefits from advanced socialist public health.
Thanks to such ardent sincerity of his for the regional people, a stress was laid on the issue of supplementing the construction of modern public health facilities to the Regional Development ２０×１０ Policy at the consultative meeting for regional development project held shortly afterwards.
Request Made on Completion Day
One day late in December ２０２５, the completion ceremony of the hospital and regional-industry factories newly built in Ryonggang County, Nampho Municipality, was held.
That day, the respected Comrade General Secretary attended the ceremony and cut the inauguration tape, wishing the residents there lead a happy life in a nice place.
Then, he looked round the hospital.
So pleased with the fact that the people in Ryonggang County became able to get medical services at a modern hospital to their hearts’ content, he looked round different places of the hospital with a broad smile on his face.
He noted that making the hard-won precious creations serve as powerful engine for the development of socialist public health is a heavy and responsible revolution task whose fulfillment is as important as their construction, clarifying important tasks for the operation and medical service of regional hospitals to be built in cities and counties across the country.
The officials were so touched by the boundless love of the benevolent father who cared so much even on the completion day to let the hospital actually serve the people well though he had initiated the construction of city and county hospitals and led it step by step.
Teaching that it is the duty of our officials to operate the newly-built city and county hospitals well, he earnestly requested that the chief secretaries of the city and county Party committees and chairmen of the people’s committees should operate the hospitals well to take care of the people’s health in a responsible manner, not feeling content that the residents are happy with the new hospitals.
From his earnest request made on the day of completion, the officials kept deeper in their minds his noble intention to make our public health the one for the people both in name and in reality and the truth that the advantages of our-style socialism can be displayed higher only when city and county hospitals discharge their mission and role as public health establishments providing the people with benefits of socialist public health.
