32nd Congress of Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan Held
The 32nd Congress of the Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan was held at the Central Hall of Chongryon in Tokyo on June 6.
Present there were Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Kang Chu Ryon, vice-chairwoman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan (UDKW), and vice-chairwomen and members of the Central Standing Committee of the UDKW and advisors to the C.C., UDKW, major headquarters chairwomen of the union and deputies elected by organizations at all levels.
The national anthem of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was played at the congress.
Nam Ju Hyon, vice-chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the union, read out a message of greeting from the Standing Committee of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly to the 26th Congress of Chongryon.
A congratulatory message from the Central Committee of the Socialist Women’s Union of Korea was introduced.
Kang Chu Ryon made a report to be followed by speeches.
At the congress Kang Chu Ryon, vice-chairwoman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, was reelected chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan.
Pak Ku Ho made a speech.
He called for giving full play to the loyalty, patriotism, unity and strong practical ability of the union officials, part-time officials and active compatriots in a new struggle period till the 80th formation anniversary of Chongryon and turning out as one in the struggle for implementing the decisions of the congress.
Kang Chu Ryon made a closing address.
A letter to the respected Marshal
At the end of the congress, the First Session of the 32nd Central Committee of the Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan was held.
