New Scenery of Flower Garden in Songdowon Area

The flower garden situated in the Songdowon area, a famous scenic spot on the east coast, has been remodeled beyond recognition.

A beautiful landscape was created there with thousands of trees, tens of millions of flowers and cover plants, walkways and pavements were arranged, and all the conditions of a cultural recreation ground including fountains and flower greenhouse of a peculiar type were provided.

True to the noble intention of the Party which pays deep attention all the time to providing our people with conditions and environment for an affluent and civilized life, the Kangwon Provincial Party Committee reflected the remodeling of the flower garden in the Songdowon area in the Party’s decisions and roused the officials and working people in the province to its implementation.

The senior officials of the province frequently went out to the provincial designing institute to lead the designers to perfectly complete the designs with the focus placed on remodeling the flower garden in a flawless way in close cooperation with the researchers in the capital city and the advanced units.

Meanwhile, the province organized the commanding force with able officials and formed a powerful construction force with technicians and skilled workers from factories and enterprises.

At the same time, it took scrupulous measures for supplying apparatuses and materials.

The enthusiastic agitprop activities heated up the high spirit of the builders throughout the construction project.

Inspired by the active support from officials and people in the province including the women’s union members in Wonsan City, the builders directed efforts to fully meeting the requirements of designs in all the elements.

In particular, they applied rational construction methods to building the flower garden and thus ensured high formative and artistic value of the architectural structure.
