Sinpho City is achieving tangible changes in the development of regional economy and improvement of people’s living standards thanks to the offshore farm and regional-industry factories modernly built under the wise guidance of the respected Comrade General Secretary
The respected Comrade General Secretary visited the Phungo-dong area in Sinpho City on July １５, ２０２４ and chaired a historic consultative meeting on regional economic development which was recorded as a Changsong Joint Conference of today in the history of the Korean revolution in a tent in front of which the red flag of the Party was hoisted.
Saying that if the scallop and kelp farming is conducted well in the waters off the Phungo-dong area the city of Sinpho, which is poor in economic potentials, can become the richest among the cities and counties in the country in three or four years, he expressed his determination to successfully build up the Sinpho City Offshore Farm into a model of aquaculture in the new century and present it to the people in the city as a gift.
Under the great benevolence of the peerlessly great man who chose its site in an excellent location and sent essential production means, equipment and implements, the Sinpho City Offshore Farm was splendidly built as a model of aquaculture in the new century.
Visitors to Sinpho City are deeply impressed with the wonderful appearance of the seat of the city which has changed beyond recognition and cheerful looks of its residents who are full of confidence in and optimism for new life and new civilization.
Various kinds of quality goods produced at the modern regional-industry factories newly built in Sinpho City last year thanks to the powerful implementation of the regional development policy in the new era are supplied to all households in the city on a regular basis every month.
Today Sinpho City has turned into a powerful region which can do whatever it chooses to do by itself now that the offshore farm and modern regional-industry factories built by the Party prove effective.
Construction equipment was fully provided to the construction brigade of the city and tens of modern farm machines including combine harvesters, high-speed rice-transplanters and small tractors were secured, thus making it possible to further raise the agricultural productivity of the region.
Investment to schools and public health facilities in the city has been greatly increased, thus enabling students and residents to learn to their heart’s content in more excellent educational environment and receive advanced medical services.
At present a modern marine-products processing station is being built near the Sinpho City Offshore Farm.
In addition, the city set a goal of building a modern chicken farm of a large capacity by itself in the near future.
Now the city plans and carries out large projects for regional development, which were inconceivable in the past, at will. The reality is a powerful testimony to the validity and vitality of our Party’s policy on regional development.
This proud fruition which was achieved in a mere two years since the completion of the Sinpho City Offshore Farm and regional-industry factories proves in practice that the Party’s regional development policy is confidently switching over from satisfying the basic demands of the people for their living on a nationwide scale to bringing about a sure change in the more fundamental and comprehensive sphere.
It is also a noteworthy success of great significance in building offshore farming bases suited to the regional characteristics in different parts of the eastern and the western coasts on a large scale, thereby fostering the development capability of regional areas.
Now that the struggle for vigorously opening up a broad avenue for the development of regional economy and improvement of people’s living standards by making effective use of favorable natural and geographical conditions of regions has been boldly waged, Sinpho City is distinguishing itself as a lively region full of vigor.
The proud reality of Sinpho City prospering day by day under the wise leadership of the respected Comrade General Secretary makes not only the residents of the city but all the people across the country further convince that our Party’s policy is science and victory.
