８１ years have passed since the historic day when people raised the cheers of "Love live General Kim Il Sung!" and "Long live National Liberation!" with deep gratitude and ecstasy.

At the Arch of Triumph Plaza, we still hear the cheers they burst into toward President Kim Il Sung, the anti-Japanese legendary hero and peerlessly great patriot, and recollect with deep emotion lines of the immortal revolutionary hymn "Song of General Kim Il Sung".

Bright traces of blood on the crags of Jangbaek still gleam.

Still the Amnok carries along signs of blood in its stream. ..

This is the truth of history and the most evident record conveying the sacred traces of the President.

The President made the ２５０-mile Journey for National Liberation at the age of １４ with a "do-or-die" will.

This resolution kept deep in the heart of the President was the ardent faith and will which could be cherished only by the peerlessly great patriot possessed of a sense of uncommon mission that he would surely liberate country and make all of them ours forever.

Truly arduous were the hardships and ordeals the President tidied over with the single mind to devote his all to the country and people.

Recollecting those days, the President said that as the song expresses it, "Bright traces of blood on the crags of Changbai still gleam", we spilt a great deal of blood wherever we went in those days and every inch of our advance was made at the cost of our own blood.

Our President forced his way through a bloody and wind-driven path, suffering all kinds of hardship, as it was the way to rescue the destiny of country and people in misery.

With the day of August １５ brought about by the President, our people regained all that they had lost their sovereignty, territory, resources, history and culture and secured all possibilities for achieving their freedom and carving out their destiny, thus embarking with the dignity befitting masters on the road of their great pioneering cause of democratic development and wellbeing.

The whole country praised the President as the greatest hero and the great savior who put an end to the misfortune and tragedy of our country and people.

And the immortal revolutionary hymn "Song of General Kim Il Sung" came into being in reflection of the unanimous mind of the Korean people looking up to and upholding the President and resounded far and wide in the sky of the liberated country.

At the venue of the celebration of the ８０th anniversary of Korea’s liberation held in August last, the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un warmly said that we are celebrating the day of national liberation with such splendour today because we feel really proud of the course of the struggle we have followed willingly in order to build a country of everlasting strength and prosperity on this land dyed with the red blood of the forerunners.

He has made devoted efforts, saying that he always thinks of turning our country into the most powerful country in the world as desired by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and it is his determination to put our country on the center stage of the world.

He, keeping a sense of duty that he takes the burden of the destiny of the motherland and people and firm faith to make the country powerful at any cost, has left scared traces on this land, thus opening up the new era of the overall national prosperity and era of our state-first principle unprecedented in the nation’s history of ５, ０００ years.

Indeed, the startling reality which is being unfolded on this land bespeaks all things the President desired along with the national liberation are being remarkably translated into reality in the great era of Kim Jong Un generation after generation.

As we have the respected Comrade General Secretary in high esteem, the feats of national liberation by the President will shine forever and on this land, the socialist power of Juche will be surely built.
