Salt Tasting like Sweets
It was ten-odd days after the holding of the historic Seventh Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

He hardly went to sleep as he was so satisfied over the report.
The next day, the respected General Secretary visited the saltern.
Feasting his eyes on piles of salt as white as snow, he approached a pile of salt near him.
He had a taste of it.
As if he felt from the flavor of salt the ardent loyalty and the spirit of devotedly implementing the Party’s policies cherished by the People’s Army soldiers who succeeded in turning out salt with underground ultra-saline water, the respected General Secretary said, full of vigor, that salt tasted really good.
Saying that all those piles of white salt seemed like a mountain of white gold, he moved near to another pile of salt.
Then he again tried the flavor of salt.
He repeatedly expressed satisfaction, saying that salt from underground ultra-saline water tasted sweet.

Tasting fine salt produced with sea water and underground ultra-saline water at a salt production site, the respected General Secretary said with a hearty laugh that fine salt from underground ultra-saline water was really smooth and tasted like sweets.
Salt tasting like sweets!
This was, indeed, a unique flavor which can be felt only by the respected General Secretary who regards all pains he takes for the wellbeing of the people as his pleasure, and an appraisal of love which can be given only by the benevolent father who deals everything from the stand of people.
After highly commending the soldiers who made a noteworthy success in the country’s history of salt industry, the respected General Secretary said that the salt production from underground ultra-saline water was then at the start, but that its prospect was rosy and it was an important way of solving the salt problem, adding: The People’s Army should continue to take the lead in piling salt and generalize its success and experience widely.
That day he clearly indicated the orientation and ways for boosting salt production of the country and had a souvenir photo taken with the officials and soldiers who devoted their efforts to implementing the Chairman’s desire and the intention of the Party before departure.
Looking up to the respected General Secretary, the officials and solders exclaimed with excitement that the respected General Secretary was indeed the great father of the people.
