Precious Titles Awarded by the Party to Young People

On the occasion of the significant Youth Day, all the young people across the country recall with deep emotion the great trust and love bestowed on them by the peerlessly great men who glorified their feats in the history of the country along with the precious title and put forward them as the pride of the times.

The great trust of President Kim Il Sung who glorified the feats the youth shock brigade members performed in the construction of Haeju-Hasong railway during the great Chollima upswing still touches the heartstrings of our young people.

The President who entrusted to the young people the railway construction which was supposed to take at least ３ or ４ years to be completed visited the construction site and encouraged them, saying that they were the first Chollima riders. And on the day of the opening ceremony of the railway, he rejoiced much at the successes of the young people who completed the huge project in only ７５ days and praised them as heroes.

Cherishing the precious title "first Chollima riders", "heroes" awarded by the President, our young people put spurs on their struggle and incessantly performed labor feats in the socialist construction.

Chairman Kim Jong Il led our young people step by step to stoutly grow as reliable successors to the revolutionary cause of Juche.

The appellation "youth vanguard" awarded to our youth by the Chairman shines brilliantly in golden letters in the history of our Workers’ Party of Korea.

Once, the Chairman said that the appellation "youth vanguard" could be likened to the title "guard" which belonged to the guards company safeguarding the headquarters in the period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary armed struggle.

The Chairman gave an instruction, reflective of his great trust, that our young people, cherishing the appellation "vanguard" as their great honor and pride, should uphold the Party and the leader with loyalty as befitting youth vanguard.

The history of the President and Chairman’s great trust and love for our youth is steadily carried on under the energetic guidance of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

The respected General Secretary instilled resourcefulness and courage in our young people calling them "Party’s spiritual buttress", "Party’s solid cornerstone" in his ceaseless way of revolutionary guidance.

He saw to it that the letters reading "heroic youth" were engraved in the wall of the dam of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station No. １, trained the youth to be "heroes of the times" upholding the Party in the van, "giant artists of creation" and put forward their feats before the times and people.

Reliable successors firmly inheriting the lineage of Paektu, matchless contingent of young people who build a manifold fortress around the Party, patriotic and heroic young people. successors to the Juche revolution, militant reserves of the Party, the most vigorous of the social forces, the main force for defending the country, creators of socialist civilization…

These precious appellations awarded by the respected General Secretary reflect the ardent love of his who is eager to put forward young people performing feats on their road of implementing the Party’s plan and intention before the world.

Our young people, in the future too, will powerfully demonstrate the honor of the reliable advancing group, wing and death-defying corps of the WPK on the sacred road of patriotism for the prosperity of our socialist country, cherishing the noble titles awarded by the WPK as the greatest honor and precious wealth of their life.
