Dignity and Spirit of DPRK’s Navy Is Fully Demonstrated under Most Brilliant Commander

Greeting the significant Day of Navy, our people and servicepersons of the Korean People’s Army are filled with great emotion and delight.
In last June the respected General Secretary made a congratulatory speech at the commissioning ceremony of Destroyer Choe Hyon.
In his speech he said that in our era, when everything is undergoing change, we are witnessing the quickest and clearest change in the Navy and in less than three years after we declared that we would transform the Navy without fail, our Navy has put an end to over ７０ years of its stagnation.
Listening to his speech, our people were full of emotion.
The Navy of the Korean People’s Army founded by the President and developed by the Chairman has a proud history of creating miracles in sea battles startling the world from the first period.
During the Fatherland Liberation War our seamen destroyed the heavy cruiser Baltimore which styled itself "island in a sea".
In the １９６０s our navy captured the U.S. armed spy ship Pueblo to put the US to shame before the world and displayed the might of the heroic Korean People’s Army.
Now the Destroyer Choe Hyon was commissioned and the Destroyer Kang Kon and other destroyers are to be launched or built. These eye-opening facts make not only sailors but all the people feel great pride.
Our seamen and people remember that the respected General Secretary paid a congratulatory visit to the KPA Navy Command in August ２０２３. Then he said the fame of the KPA Navy is brilliantly inscribed as the symbol of bravery and faith of our indomitable people and as the honor of the foremost defender of our Party and revolution.
Our Navy has posed itself as a strong one in arms equipment and prevails over the hostile forces in ideological, material and technical aspects.
Thanks to the wise guidance of the respected General Secretary our navy has taken a different position, a different mission and a different area of waters its action covers. It has held an initiative in military activities for maritime defence and war deterrence.
True to the noble intention of the respected General Secretary our brave sailors train themselves as invincible ones who are always faithful to the order of the leader and achieve victory in defending the seas of the motherland as anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners did.
On the significant Day of Navy, our country and people picture future of our navy which will fully display its might in the world from the appearances of modern destroyers and the marine combatants of new generation.
All our people shout that dignity and spirit of the DPRK’s Navy will be fully demonstrated under the great brilliant commander.
