DPRK’s Acrobatic Art Blooming and Developing Day by Day
A circus of the National Acrobatic Troupe celebrating the ８１st anniversary of national liberation which was first given in the presence of the respected General Secretary
The performance is greatly acclaimed by the audience.
The numbers in the performance are worthy to be proud of before the world.
A physical acrobatics "Fly higher" has won top prizes on several occasions at international circus festivals so far.
It was originally called "Somersault in flight".
Our acrobats succeeded in women’s three somersaults and won the Golden Prize, the highest prize, at the １４th Monte Carlo International Circus Festival held in Monaco in １９８９.
They set a higher goal of succeeding in men’s four times somersault.
It took them １０-odd years to attain the goal.
This acrobatics was awarded the Idol gold prize at the World Festival of Circus Art "Idol-２０２４".
The audience particularly like this acrobatics in which the acrobats perform swift and elegant stunts flying in the air.
What drew the special attention of the audience in the performance was the physical acrobatics "Wire-rope Walking".
At the physical acrobatics, the acrobats perform wonderful skills on a ６-meter high wire-rope without wearing safety rope.
At the World Festival of Circus Art "Idol-２０２６", it was again awarded the Grand Prize, the highest prize of the festival, the Spectators Gold Prize and the Media Golden Prize.
The respected General Secretary, on the day when he personally watched the performance, warmly congratulated the acrobats including Pak Yong Gwang who performed wonderful skills in the physical acrobatics "Wire-rope Walking".
Recalling the excitement and joy of that day, they made a determination to create more wonderful works and thus take the global lead.
The peculiar pieces given by a juggler Kim Ju Song familiar with the people make the audience imbued with the world of mysterious jugglery.
Under the guidance of the Party, the National Acrobatic Troupe could be developed into an authoritative art organization which glorifies the honor and prestige of the country while being loved by the people and the DPRK’s acrobatic art is blooming and developing day by day.
