Parental Care for Orphans’ Meals
The loving care of the motherly Party which values the rising generation the most is closely associated with the meals prepared for the orphans every day.
Late in February, trucks loaded with fishes arrived at the baby homes and orphanages across the country as usual.
The officials and employees of Pyongyang Orphanage were surprised to find the processed laver goods with the fishes in the truck.
They were impressed to think that the fatherly love of the respected General Secretary who pays so much attention to the growth of the orphans only grows.
Not long after that, officials and cooks of the Central Committee of the Korean Association of Cooks visited them and taught the ways for feeding the children with diverse laver dishes as suited to their appetites and tastes.
Choe Song Ran, head of the orphanage, who was looking at the orphans smiling brightly before their tables, was lost in thought.
She called to her mind the instruction of the respected General Secretary who taught that we must think of orphans first if we have something special and devote parental love and affection to them when taking measures to provide processed laver goods and kelp produced by the People’s Army for the orphans across the country.
This reminded her of the unforgettable days ten-odd years ago.
The respected General Secretary saw that cooks visited the orphans in Pyongyang Municipality on the occasion of February, 16, 2014, the birth anniversary of Chairman
In June that year, cooks visited the orphans again true to the love of the respected General Secretary for the orphans to prepare special dishes for them to the excitement of all the people.
Thenceforth, the baby homes and orphanages in the country have been provided with rare fishes and foodstuffs under the benevolent care of the motherly Party.
The Pyongyang Orphanage, for instance, has received hundreds of tons of fishes and meat including sturgeons, rainbow trouts, pheasants and deer, bread, dried persimmon and kelp for the past 10-odd years and famous cooks in the city have visited them to pass on the cuisine.
Indeed, the love that has reached the orphans in every nook and corner of the country for 10-odd years was a bloodline of warm feelings which stretched from the courtyard of the office of the Party Central Committee to all the orphans.
That’s why the song "We Are the Happiest in the World" rings out loud forever in our country and the rising generation, the future of our country, are growing up cheerfully, merrily and spiritedly.
