National Emblem Pulsating with Soul of Korea

A national emblem is a symbol of a state reflecting its character and mission.

Our national emblem which was born under the attentive care of President Kim Il Sung portrays well the might of the independent state and the future of the Republic which will prosper forever.

Our national emblem is depicted with the letters of "Democratic People’s Republic of Korea" along with the Mt. Paektu, a shining red star, a majestic hydroelectric power station and the oval frame of ears of rice.

Sacred Mt Paektu on the upper part of the national emblem, the five-point star and its rays symbolize the revolutionary tradition of our Republic and the bright future of our people who are advancing vigorously towards the accomplishment of the revolutionary cause of Juche.

The hydroelectric power station and ears of rice which are engraved in the middle of the national emblem symbolize the might of our country’s industry and agriculture and their bright prospect.

Oval shape of the national emblem demonstrates the invincible unity of our people rallied close around the Party and the leader.

The national emblem of the DPRK is the official symbol of the DPRK, reflects the dignity, sovereignty, invincible might and prosperity of our State.
