Looking Round National Sculpture and Craftwork Festival
Now the Seventh National Sculpture and Craftwork Festival in celebration of the 78th birthday of the DPRK is being held with splendor, drawing great attention of the people.
On display in the venue of the festival are hundreds of sculptures and craftworks showing the eye-opening reality of our country and happy life of our people.
Pyrograph "Breath of Sangwon" in the entrance of the festival venue shows well the clear mind and patriotic zeal of the working class of the Sangwon Cement Complex to repay the Party’s great love and trust with increased production of cement.
Mother-of-pearl work "Catfish Harvest in Paddy Field" and woodcraft "Fish Farming in Paddy Field Is Best" make the visitors picture the rich harvest of catfishes in socialist rural community.
An official of the Ministry of Culture said that craftwork is a kind of fine art demanding much effort and there are good works presented by amateurs this time and this shows well our people’s cultural attainments and emotional level.

Teachers and students of Wonsan Art College presented woodwork "4km-long Stretch of Beach Crowded with People", mother-of-pearl work "Night View Decorated by Lights in Myongsasimni" and other colorful works.
Even schoolchildren of primary schools and kindergarteners presented simple works such as "Raw-Material Base in Songchon County" and "Seashore with Rich Harvest" showing new appearances of the DPRK.
