Delight of Fish Farming in Paddy Field at Thaekam Farm of Sunan District

The Thaekam Farm in Sunan District recently ingathered catfishes in a paddy field amid great expectation and interest of people.

They ingathered ３６ tons of catfishes in the field of one hectare, which was over １０ tons more than estimated yield.

They say that the estimated yield of rice is about １５ tons. Indeed, they will get rich harvest of catfishes and paddy field rice.

This fact proves the validity of the Party’s policy on encouraging fish farming in paddy fields.

The officials of the farm planned all the things such as selection of right soil, ensuring rate of survival of fry under scientific calculation and pushed ahead with fish farming.

The farm built a protein fodder ground and strived to solve the fodder problem. In particular, they paid deep attention to manufacturing the equipment of producing puffed fodder.

They took scientific steps for preventing fish diseases and treatment.

The farm did not spread fertilizer in the paddy field of fish farming. However, they saved much labor and herbicide while expecting good crop of rice.

The farm manager’s saying that fish farming in paddy field will get a good result serving two ends shows the firm belief of the officials and farmers of the farm in the Party policy.
