New Story Conveyed by Kwangchon Chicken Farm
New stories about the Kwangchon Chicken Farm which was built as a model and standard of poultry farming in our country slightly over two years ago are born one after another to the delight of the people.

The respected General Secretary, who visited the farm in January two years ago, paid deep attention to the production of tasty and high-quality chicken and eggs.
On that unforgettable day, he estimated the weight of the packed chicken in person and taught that chicken weighing ８００g each is tasty and that the farm should also produce that kind of chicken in the future.
Under his attentive care, breeding of "Pyongyang Chicken" No １, which is a tasty and high-quality species, was conducted on a full scale and has been introduced into production.
Looking round the factory before inauguration, he dropped in at the chicken storehouse whose temperature is １８℃ below zero and noted that they should sell the people not only frozen chicken but also cold chicken.
When he dropped in at the egg storehouse, he learnt about the shelf life of the eggs and was greatly delighted to provide our people with quality eggs.
He clarified the detailed ways for thoroughly ensuring hygienic safety of the products of the farm after his visit.
Under his love, several processes were furnished with stricter systems and discipline for thoroughly ensuring the quality of chicken and eggs and products with full guarantee for hygienic security are being supplied to the people.
In August last, new low-storey apartment buildings were built in the dwelling quarters of the employees and people moved to new houses.
At the time of the farm’s inauguration, there were four low-storey apartment buildings in the residential district of employees.
After the respected General Secretary’s visit, new processes were established at different workteams and the number of employees increased, which entailed the shortage of apartment houses.
Last January, the respected General Secretary was informed of this and took benevolent measures to add two low-storey apartment buildings in the dwelling quarters according to the formation plan of the predecessors and supply cement, steel and fuel on a priority basis.
All the families living happily in the new houses are full of a single zeal to repay the great benevolence of the Party with bigger achievements in production.

Officials, scientists and technicians from poultry farming bases and scientific research and educational institutes visit the farm to learn from their experience.
The bulky technical guide formulated under the lofty intention of the respected General Secretary for the farm to make a nice technical guide on production and management and operation and distribute it to all the chicken farms shows the steadfast will of our Party to radically develop the country’s poultry farming with the Kwangchon Chicken Farm as a model.
After turning out as one in the campaign for endlessly raising the technical and skill level by regularly studying the world development trend of poultry farming and introducing it into production and management activities, ６０-odd officials and employees have received certificates of invention and devisal.
The remarkable achievements the farm underwent in the past two years confirm that the chicken farm definitely holds the status of a model unit and advanced sci-tech dissemination base leading the country’s poultry farming and will, in the future, too, exalt its honor as a model farm of the times which clearly demonstrates the validity and vitality of our Party’s policies.
