New Era of Revolution Ushered in by Dint of Ideology
With Juche-Oriented Theory of Ideology as Mighty Sword
Important speech made by the respected General Secretary
The respected General Secretary said that in order to ensure the successful accomplishment of the gigantic and huge tasks set forth at the Ninth Congress of our Party in the future, too, it should be premised on and guaranteed by the inexhaustible ideological and mental strength of our Party and people.
It was the declaration of the revolutionary will of the peerlessly great man to dynamically open up a broad avenue for comprehensive rejuvenation by strictly adhering to our Party’s principle of attaching importance to ideology and giving precedence to ideological work, which has been fully displayed in the whole course of Korean revolution and clearly proved in the course of past １０-odd years, not by any external circumstances and material and economic conditions.
The whole history of the Korean revolution is the history of ideological campaign.
Our people defeated the imperialist aggressors and carried out the rehabilitations twice and two-stage social revolutions in a short span of time by dint of ideology.
The successful building of the socialist country of independence, self-sustenance and self-reliant defence and successive victories in the war without gunfire for dozens of years are unthinkable apart from the Juche-oriented theory of ideology.
The respected General Secretary has upheld the iron truth that nothing is impossible when arousing the mental power of masses with the ideology as the only weapon in the drive for opening up the new era.
At the Eighth Conference of Ideological Workers of the WPK the General Secretary said as follows:
The most powerful weapon for a party that wages a revolution shouldering people’s destiny is ideology, and it is its one and only weapon. Without ideology, a party cannot be founded nor can it exist, and its work and revolutionary struggle are inconceivable separated from ideological work. The bloodline of the revolution is defended and the revolution advances on the strength of ideology.
Thinking that the revolutionary struggle and construction, the fate of the country and people, are inseparable from the ideological work, the respected General Secretary clearly saw through the decisive role of ideology. So, he stressed whenever he had an opportunity that the greatest reserve of creation and innovation and the key to performing miracle lie in arousing the mental strength of all the people.
When he climbed Mt Paektu, sacred mountain of the revolution, he said that his climbing Mt Paektu was to acquire more clearly how the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, basic source of great mental power, was provided and to fill the whole country with the spirit and mettle.
Even an egg, when charged with ideology, can break a rock!
This phrase can be made only by the great man who kept in mind the truth that nothing is impossible to do when giving fullest play to the ideological and mental strength of the popular masses as his steadfast faith.
With the absolute truth the respected General Secretary has led all the sectors of creation and construction to vigorously wage the ideological offensive for the past １０-odd years.
When he visited a factory he said that it is the truth that even an egg, when charged with ideology, can break a rock and an automatic rifle full charged with ideology can display greater might than any modern military equipment, which was proved through the two revolutionary wars and the struggle to defend socialism.
When he gave field guidance at the Songdowon General Foodstuff Factory, he said that ideology decides everything and success or failure of work depends on the idea of the man to encourage the employees of the factory to continuously glorify the honor as standard bearer of the era with the might of ideology and the mental strength.
In March this year, he visited first the Sangwon Cement Complex after the Ninth Congress of the WPK to encourage the working class there. At that time he stressed on giving full play to the inexhaustible spiritual power of the masses in conformity with the immutable truth that the reserves for increased production depends on the mind of producers and as intended by the Party which attaches absolute importance to the ideological resource among the three resources.
Indeed, the Juche-oriented theory is the everlasting revolutionary leadership principle and political philosophy of our Party and treasured sword which brings all victories of the revolution.

He entrusted the workers of Ryongsong with the manufacturing of custom-built equipment which is greatly important in developing the national economy and inspected the Ryongsong Machine Complex to teach that to produce the large compressor by our own efforts is a serious political struggle of whether to put an end to flunkyism, defeatism, mysticism about technology and proclivity to import and intensify the independent character of our economy or not.
Such trust and guidance of his led the workers of Ryongsong to perform miracles of the era.
When guiding the historic １１th Plenary Meeting of the ８th Party Central Committee in December ２０２４, the respected General Secretary put right the mistaken idea of officials who were seeking the solution to the shortage of cement for ２０２５’s construction projects only in the aspect of economic figures and gave precious instructions as to finding a way for increased production in the ideological and spiritual motivation of the masses, thus kindling the flame of miraculous achievement in Sangwon.
He also went out to the bustling sites to further elevate the uplifted spirit of the masses and fully charge their hearts with unyielding revolutionary spirit, ardent patriotism and infinite creative passion.
In retrospect, the １０-odd years of the respected General Secretary’s revolutionary leadership were full of unforgettable journeys in which he personally visited the theaters of struggle time and again to give free rein to the ideological and mental strength of the popular masses.
So proud of the soldiers of the People’s Army who brought about a tremendous change to Rason Municipality at the northern end of the country which was swept by flood, he traveled such a long way to them, warmly encouraged the soldier-builders and had a souvenir photo, one and only in the world, taken with them.
The miracle of the Masikryong Ski Resort was born thanks to the intention of him, who visited the People’s Army soldiers who were engaged in the construction of the people’s cultural recreation ground, the top-class ski resort, and encouraged them and personally wrote a historic appeal a few days after then.
It is the victory won by the great leadership of the respected General Secretary who visited the theaters of socialist construction one after another and brought the ideological and mental strength of the people into fullest scope that the rural revolution programme, the regional development policy and public health revolution are powerfully pressed on with along with the era of Pyongyang prosperity when ideal streets for the people are built every year, and unprecedented achievements are being made in building up defence capabilities.
It is also a miracle of history which is possible only in the unique politico-ideological power of the world.
Indeed, the revolutionary leadership of the respected General Secretary is a course of the most powerful political and ideological work of visiting people and the People’s Army soldiers, however far they might be, and kindling the flames of struggle and revolution in their hearts to enable them to perform miracles.
Our officials grow up keeping their intentions and pace up with the lofty will of the respected General Secretary to tide over difficulties under the banner of ideology-first principle and idea of attaching importance to ideology and carry out the gigantic tasks for the eternal wellbeing of the people as scheduled.
The respected General Secretary, at the Fourth Enlarged Meeting of the Political Bureau of the Ninth Party Central Committee, stressed the need for all the Party organizations to more dynamically conduct their organizational and political work to give full play to the spiritual strength of the masses as required by the invariable policy of the Party Central Committee on giving priority to ideological work in every undertaking.
It is the noble intention of the respected General Secretary to augment the might of ideology and penetration of ideological work to the maximum and thus build a powerful socialist country on this land and carry through the revolutionary cause of Juche without fail.
Our cause will win victory after victory and exalt honor and glory only as we have the wise guidance of our Party which holds fast to the Juche-based ideological theory as its invincible sword and the excellent people who perform miracles in an indefatigable spirit in response to the Party’s call.
