Special Measure Taken for a Soldier

Ri Jong Mok was faithful to the Party with successful diplomatic activities always bearing in mind the supreme authority of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il respected by all people.

Born into a farm servant’s family, Ri Jong Mok suffered all sorts of humiliation and insult. However, he could grow up to be an able diplomat thanks to the benevolent care of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

It happened ahead of the ３０th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Ri was going to leave the country for an international conference with a mental agony, which was regretful feeling of failing to attend the celebrations for the ３０th founding anniversary of the WPK.

In fact, the celebrations were a significant event noteworthy in the history of our Party, which was initiated and prepared by Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Not only relevant officials but also Ri Jong Mok thought that there was no way out of it.

Then, Ri was unexpectedly informed that he would take part in the celebrations for the ３０th founding anniversary of the WPK.

Informed of the fact from officials, President Kim Il Sung took a special measure for letting Ri Jong Mok take part in the celebrations.

Saying that to take part in the celebrations for the ３０th founding anniversary of the Party is a glory for a Party member, the President saw to it that Ri Jong Mok attended the celebrations on October １０ and left on the next day. The President also made sure that the DPRK delegation would arrive in the place of the international conference in time.

Ri Jong Mok was deeply moved to tears by the touching story.

So, he left the country with the ardent zeal for repaying the great trust and love shown by the President and conducted diplomatic activities on the initiative to fully demonstrate the dignity of the DPRK in the international arena by thoroughly embodying the independent resources of the President.
