Meaningful Lecture about Outlook on People
The respected General Secretary
Once, he taught senior officials of the Party Central Committee and teachers of Central Cadres Training School of the Workers’ Party of Korea that it is important for officials to possess correct outlook on the people and that it is our Party’s consistent outlook on the people and people-centred philosophy to make revolution depending on the boundless strength of the people regarding them as masters of revolution and devotedly serve the popular masses.
Receiving his instruction the senior officials of the Party Central Committee and teachers of the school deeply felt again our Party’s outlook on the people and people-centered philosophy and responsibility as educators of the Party’s cadre training organ.
Looking at them the respected General Secretary was lost in thought for a while. Then he earnestly said that he will, in the future, too, live as a son of people who learns from the people and makes revolution depending on them while sharing weal and woe with the people and genuine servant of the people who constantly strives to do work for the people and devotes everything to the people.
He continued that Party officials should strive to do work for the people and make their way through virgin snow in the van of the masses and fully display the spirit of devoted service to the people with the correct outlook on the people.
The meaningful word given by the respected General Secretary that day carried his great expectation that all the Party organizations and Party officials would fully display the spirit of devoted service to the people.
Earnest Request
It is the unchangeable principle of our Party’s activities and the lofty ideal that runs through the whole course of the history of the respected General Secretary
In December ２０２３, the Ninth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee was going on.
The respected General Secretary taught that if they work meticulously and earnestly, maintaining the spirit of braving the manifold difficulties, under the condition where all the people’s trust in the Party is steadfast, they can successfully accomplish the important tasks of overcoming difficulties and developing changes.
After making an overall analysis and review of the work for the year, the respected General Secretary stressed the need to make it an iron rule to give top priority to the people’s convenience and ensure efficiency in doing everything including urban management.
Looking up to him, the officials more keenly realized the ennobling love of the respected General Secretary for the people.
A thing, however favorable it might be, inevitably leads to a negative reaction and adverse effect of vulgarizing the Party’s policies if it lacks people-oriented character and rationality in the stage of organization and execution, he added.
He repeatedly emphasized that all the units engaged in the execution of the major policies of the Party and the state, people-oriented ones in particular, should refine from just talking about giving top priority to the people’s interests and convenience and regarding them as absolute and thoroughly carry it into practice.
The earnest request made at the venue of the Plenary Meeting of the Party Central Committee served as an occasion for deeply implanting in the minds of officials the lofty intention to make it an iron rule to give top priority to the people’s demands and interests and regard them as absolute in all the elements of Party building and activities.
With Standpoint of Bearing Full Responsibility
One day in October １３ years ago, the respected General Secretary gave field guidance at the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill.
That day, he toured the mill for a long time to learn about its production and management and then took benevolent measures for solving problems arising in the living of the employees.
After taking revolutionary steps for solving lodging and housing problem, the respected General Secretary gave precious instructions as for all the Party organizations to pay deep attention to the supply service work for their employees.
He stressed that, though equipment updating is important in making success in production, efficient supply service work is as important and that supply service work is immediately the struggle to defend socialism.
Teaching about the responsibility the mill’s Party organization assumed in improving the supply service work for the employees, the respected General Secretary requested that the Party organization of the mill should channel efforts into the supply service work and take care of their lives in a responsible manner.
Party organizations and officials should cherish a correct view of the masses and work with the standpoint of bearing full responsibility for the employees’ lives.
The respected General Secretary regarded the provision of employees’ living conditions as a primary issue never to be neglected by Party organizations and put his heart and soul into it.
Under such attentive love and care, a magnificent workers’ hostel was built at the mill and all the Party organizations and officials became fully responsible for the living of the employees and made great efforts for them.
