Technical and Skill Level and Quality Improvement
One February day two years ago, the respected General Secretary
Going around the oil producing place at the foodstuff factory, the respected General Secretary suddenly asked an official of the factory how they do the work for raising the technical and skill level of employees.
The official replied that they study to raise their techniques and skills according to their occupations through the state network in the sci-tech learning space. Then the respected General Secretary told that the roles of technicians and skilled workers are very important in the foodstuff factories, too.
He continued that they should not leave the modern equipment as they do in foodstuff processing after adjusting the processing time because they cannot improve the quality of products.
It was the very wise word clarifying the importance and roles of the technical and skill level of technicians and skilled workers in the production.
Presently he stressed that the foodstuff factories should do well the work for improving the level of technicians and skilled workers and the workshops should briskly wage the mass movement for improving their levels.
The officials kept in mind again the truth that to improve the level of the technicians and skilled workers is the important work directly related to the issue of quality improvement of products which is as precious as life of the factory.
First Order of Preparations for Factory Operation
The respected General Secretary visited the light industry factories in Songchon County under construction in August ２０２４.
Giving detailed instructions for construction, the respected General Secretary changed the subject into the preparations for factory operation.
The factory should steadily make preparations for full operation immediately after the completion of the construction, he said, stressing the need to form well the ranks of employees such as training necessary technicians and skilled workers first.
Then he asked about the situation of training of technicians and skilled workers.
A senior official of the county replied that they prepared the ranks of skilled workers which are more than ８０ percent among the employees by sending employees to factories and enterprises in Pyongyang to improve their technical and skill levels.
Listening to his reply the respected General Secretary agreed with him. But at that time the officials couldn’t know how deeply he paid attention to the issue of training skilled workers.
Several months later, he visited Songchon County again and took a benevolent measure of dispatching teachers, researchers and skilled workers in the capital city to light industry factories newly built in ２０ cities and counties for passing-on-technique while producing goods together for one or two months.
Even now our officials deeply feel again that the most important matter in factory operation is the issue of talents through the reality of normalization of production in new regional industry factories redoubling their resolution to prioritize the training of sci-tech talents.
