On Endless Road of Devotion to People

To Be A Shop Frequented by People

One day in September 2015, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the Changgwang Shop which was newly built in Mirae Scientists Street.

The shop, which suits the taste of our people and has all the features as a commercial service center, was fully stocked with various high-quality goods.

Looking round them in great delight, the respected General Secretary praised that the goods were displayed nicely and the atmosphere in the shop was so good.

The officials looked back upon the attentive guidance the respected General Secretary gave as for the construction of the shop.

He had set the site of the shop in the new street and guided the formation plan in person.

He had dispatched able construction forces and solved all the problems arising in construction.

The respected General Secretary told the officials, wrapped in these thoughts, that it was so nice to have built a commercial service center for the people in the middle of Mirae Scientists Street and warmly taught to fill the shop with different quality goods and let people buy what they need to their heart’s content, thus making it a thriving shop, a socialist shop.

His earnest request reflected his anxiety to make the new shop be one which actively contributes to the improvement of the people’s living both in name and in reality.

The officials keenly felt once again how ardent the respected General Secretary’s benevolent fatherly love for the people is.

Attaching Importance to Construction of Dwelling Houses

One day in July 2018, the respected General Secretary gave field guidance at the Orangchon Power Station No. 5.

That day, he toured the power station to learn about electricity production.

Then, all of a sudden, the respected General Secretary asked if dwelling houses were built there.

Being answered in the affirmative, the respected General Secretary told it was nice of them to have built houses for the employees near the power station and stressed that to build houses for employees is as important as to build the power station itself.

Presently, he continued that if they don’t build houses for the employees but only the industrial establishment, it is impossible to carry out the economy policy to the letter.

In particular, as the employees of the electric industry sector are defenders of the lifeline of the economic front, they should be taken good care of lest they should have any trouble in housing or food problem, he emphasized.

Looking up to him, who attached so much importance to the houses of the employees, the officials hardened their will to remain faithful to his lofty intention.
