On Road of Devotion to People

Highlighting Issue of Landscaping

In October 2024, respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un inspected the construction site of dwelling houses to learn about the state of rehabilitation in Jagang Province hit by flood.

That day, while looking round the construction site, he also paid deep attention to the work of landscaping.

He toured the new housing district and gave detailed instructions as to the construction.

Then he sat unreservedly on a stone chair when he reached the resting ground which was being built between multi-storey buildings.

Presently, he looked at the wing wall built with stones on the slope beside the multi-storey dwelling houses and taught that they had to build the wing wall with concrete blocks like on the slope of the Kyongru-dong area in Central District of Pyongyang Municipality and make flower beds on the wall for the purpose of decoration.

A short while later, he asked about landscaping of the surroundings of the multi-storey dwelling houses and taught that they could plant ramblers in the housing district in consideration of the climatic conditions of the region.

He also gave other detailed instructions as to landscaping and greening.

The officials were wrapped in deep emotions.

They could feel the ardent sincerity of the respected General Secretary who was so anxious to provide the flood victims who had lost their houses with flawless new ones.

That day, the officials hardened their resolve to keep up to the ardent wish and ideal of the respected General Secretary.

Bright Future He Kept in Mind

The respected General Secretary, who visited Sinpho City in July two years ago, guided a consultative meeting on the development of regional economy and boarded a boat to tour the waters of the offshore farm.

Though he must have taken great pains to guide the consultative meeting after inspecting the dusty and ragged construction site in midsummer heat, he wore a bright smile on his face on the blue sea as if he were picturing the happy looks of the residents in Sinpho City.

Then, suddenly, he asked the senior official of South Hamgyong Province how many coastal towns and counties there are in the province.

Listening to the answer, the respected General Secretary thought for a moment and then warmly taught that offshore farms should be built in every one of the coastal towns and counties of the province.

The officials, who were content just with the transformation of Sinpho City where a model entity of aquaculture in the new century would be born, were impressed with the lofty intention of the respected General Secretary who made plans for the bright future of other coastal regions.

That day, he noted that the people in Ragwon County would enjoy benefits if an offshore farm was built there, too.

Indeed, the dazzling changes which were witnessed on the waters off Sinpho City and Ragwon County were the outcome of the respected General Secretary’s guidance.

Numerous beautiful entities of happiness will be born on this land in the future, too, thanks to his benevolent care.
