Literary Persons and Artistes Who Left Clear Traces in History of Juche-oriented Art and Literature
Talented Film Director Chon Sang In
Among the literary persons and artistes enjoying immortality in the embrace of the Party is Chon Sang In, a talented film director, too.
Chon created many films including the documentary film "Victorious May" after the country’s liberation, thus arousing the patriotic enthusiasm of our people who were out to build a new country.
During the Fatherland Liberation War, he created "Front Newsreel" serving in the war together with the units of the Korean People's Army and was engaged in the creation work to fully reveal the US imperialists’ brutal atrocities to the whole world and give a powerful impetus to the heroic struggle of our army and people who turned out for achieving the victory in the war.
Afterwards he produced several films of high ideological and artistic value including feature films "Love the Future" and "People’s Teacher" to contribute to the people’s cultural and emotional life.
His success in the creation work was unthinkable apart from the love of the peerlessly great men.
He, born into a day laborer’s family before the liberation of Korea, studied under adversity with a dream of learning film art. But he couldn’t escape the destiny of a rubble stone.
He could bring his creative talent into full bloom only after the country was liberated.
President
When Chon produced a feature film for the first time after taking charge of the direction of feature films in the period of the war, the President gave precious instructions to be served as guidelines in the future production of feature films.
Chairman
Once, the Chairman summoned him who committed a serious mistake in the creative work to analyze the defects of the film and indicated one by one the orientation and ways for rectifying them in conformity with our Party’s Juche-oriented idea on art and literature and people’s aesthetic and emotional demands.
He could lead a worthwhile life in the embrace of the Chairman.
When he passed away, the Chairman said that though he lived a short life he led a loyal life to repay the trust of the Party with film production successes and bestowed great love on his family.
Chon is still alive in the hearts of our people as a genuine literary person faithful to the Party.
