Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends Greetings to General Secretary of CPC Central Committee

Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, sent a message of congratulations to Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People’s Republic of China, on October 1.

In the message he extended warm congratulations to the Chinese president and, through him, to the CPC, the government of the PRC and all the Chinese people on behalf of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the government of the DPRK and the Korean people, on the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of the PRC. He continued:

Over the past 75 years since the founding of the new China, the Chinese people have actively pushed ahead with the building of socialism with Chinese characteristics, overcoming all trials and challenges of history under the leadership of the CPC, and the overall national strength and international prestige of the PRC are growing stronger day by day.

In particular, great successes are being made in the course of advance to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th Congress of the CPC and comprehensively build a modern socialist country.

I am convinced that the Chinese people will attain the second centenary goal without fail, firmly united around the CPC with you, the General Secretary, as its core.

It is the consistent stand of the WPK and the government of the DPRK to steadily consolidate and develop the traditional DPRK-China friendship.

I believe that the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries will grow stronger in conformity with the requirements of the new era and the aspirations and desires of the peoples of the two countries.

I wish the PRC prosperity and the Chinese people happiness.
