Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, sent a reply message to Thongloun Sisoulith, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and president of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, on November 1.

The message said:

I express my deep thanks to you for extending warm congratulations on the occasion of the 79th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Expressing belief that the long-standing friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties and the two countries would continue to develop in the future, too, I wish you success in your responsible work for strengthening the party and achieving the prosperity of the country.
