Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, sent a congratulatory message to Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic of Cuba, on January 1.

The message said:

I extend warm congratulations to you and the Cuban party, government and people on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the victory in the Cuban revolution, wishing the Cuban people success in their struggle to defend the sovereignty of the country and advance the socialist cause under the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba.
