There took place a summing up meeting relating to early crops on July 14 at the provincial art theater in North Phyongan Province.

Present there were over 1 100 leading officials of the province, cities and counties, farms and high-yielding farmers.

Under the guidance of the provincial Party committee, the province organized the summing up meeting to attain the grain production goal for this year without fail by arousing farmers’ enthusiasm.

The standings according to farming results in every region and farm were announced at the meeting.

Then high-yielding farmers made speeches on experiences they gained in farming.

The meeting discussed the issue of ensuring high grain output from the disastrous abnormal climate, the issue of actively introducing sci-tech farming method and other issues of improving the agricultural management in the second half of the year.

After the summing up meeting, farm machines and farming materials were awarded as prizes to excellent regions and farms.

The performance at the provincial art theater encouraged the officials and agricultural workers who took part in the meeting.
