The Yanghwa Temple, also known as "Poguk Temple", is situated in Thaechon County, North Phyongan Province, the DPRK. It is the second biggest temple in the northwestern area of our country after Pohyon Temple in Mt Myohyang.

The Chonju Temple is situated on the southeast hillside of Yaksandongdae, famous for beautiful scenery and red azaleas.

The Yaksu-ri mural tomb, located in Yaksu-ri, Kangso District, Nampho Municipality, the Koguryo mural tomb dating back to the beginning of the fifth century, is one of valuable historical and cultural heritages of our people.
