Sangphal Pools are 8 pools above Kuryong Falls, one of the three famous waterfalls in Korea, on Mt. Kumgang, a world-famous mountain.
Granite was ablated by water making pools on it and the 8 pools are especially big and elegant.
Scenery of Sangphal Pools is conspicuously beautiful in Kuryongdong area of Mt. Kumgang.
Legend has it that in olden times 8 fairies descended from the heaven to the ground and took a bath, to be charmed by its beautiful landscape and clear water.
