February of 2023, an unforgettable month, has passed.

It was an epochal month when our Republic showed the whole world how the dignity and honor of the country have been demonstrated and how the plans and decisions of our Party, which regards the absolute service for the people as its climate, are translated into reality.

On the significant day, when all the people and service personnel of the People’s Army were looking back upon the immortal exploits of the great leaders who brought up our revolutionary armed forces into the matchless revolutionary army, the respected General Secretary
Looking up to him, who personally guided the significant meeting, provided an important milestone for building the powerful army and clarified the orientation of the revolutionary military and political activities of the armed forces of our Republic, the KPA officers and all the participants in the meeting hardened their faith and will to fulfill their obligations in implementing the Party’s military policy and thus guarantee the dynamic advance of our-style socialist cause with invincible military strength.
On Feb. 7, just one day ahead of the Day of Army Founding, the respected General Secretary paid a congratulatory visit to the lodging quarters of general officers of the KPA and made a meaningful speech full of passion.
He reviewed the proud history of the People’s Army which has recorded the glorious tradition, brilliant victory and shining epic of honor since the day when the shouts of the army founding broke out, and extended noble tribute and warm congratulations to all the officers and men of the DPRK armed forces who have defended the strong breathing of the ever-victorious Korean revolution with matchless military muscle and costly sacrifice and upheld the invincibility and mightiness of our state.
The military parade held in celebration of the 75th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Army in the presence of the General Secretary was the greatest event that made February of our Republic shine at peak.
The military parade proved once again that the greatest dignity, the source and eternal vitality of the invincible might of the powerful revolutionary army lie in the fact that it is led by the great leader and the great Party and herein lies the honor and pride peculiar to the KPA which no country and no army can have.
February 8th of this year warmly reminded us of the love and affection of the General Secretary for the activists in the traits of assisting the army.
The General Secretary made a promise of love to invite again as special delegates those activists in the traits of assisting the army to the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the war victory to be specially recorded in the history of the country and warmly wished all of them in good health. Also he made them spend pleasant holidays at the Yangdok Hot Spring Resort as if his love for them was lacking.
As has always been the case in the historical course of our revolution, February was never smooth or ordinary days for our country and people.
The enemy’s military threats caused a serious situation.
However, the military drills conducted by our armed forces fully showed the firm courage and pluck of all the people and service personnel not to tolerate anyone who tries to hurt the dignity and honour of our county even a little.
In February this year all the people keenly felt through their practical experience, not in books, the invariable will of our Party to continue the construction for the people no matter how tense the situation may be, and genuine sincerity of our Party which is never satisfied in the work for the people.
On February 15, one day before the Day of the Shining Star, the ground-breaking ceremonies for the construction projects of the second-stage 10 000 flats in the Hwasong area and the Kangdong Greenhouse Farm took place with splendor in the presence of the General Secretary.
Our General Secretary personally pressed the blast button to herald the ground-breaking of the second-stage 10 000 flats construction project in the Hwasong area and shoveled the first spadeful of earth in commemoration of the ground-breaking for the construction of the Kangdong Greenhouse Farm.
After enjoying sports games held in celebration of the significant Day of the Shining Star, he left his noble footprints at the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of a new street in the Sopho area of Pyongyang City and made a meaningful speech, picturing the appearance of the capital city of Pyongyang which will be transfigured by our trustworthy young people.
He earnestly said that just like the generations of their grandfathers and grandmothers, fathers and mothers, they will have the youthful pride and honour of having shed their precious sweat for the capital city construction, and will record in their autobiography the stories of merits, in which they can proudly say "my capital city, my Pyongyang" in the speech, and gave the flag of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade to its commanding officers.
He personally shoveled the first spadeful of earth to mark the ground-breaking for the construction of the new street and pressed the detonator.
Indeed, February of this year was an unforgettable month of emotion and delight as it convinced us that as we uphold the respected General Secretary in high esteem the great glory of our powerful state and the bright future are in store for us.
