The role of scientific farming promotion teams is being strengthened in different parts of the DPRK.

The scientific farming promotion teams, composed of many officials, scientists and technicians of the Agricultural Commission, relevant ministries, national institutions, the Academy of Agricultural Science, the State Academy of Sciences and other scientific research institutes, Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology and provincial agricultural universities, have played a big role in giving effective guidance to farming and in producing and supplying advanced agricultural science and technology products in time.

The State Commission of Science and Technology, the Agricultural Commission and the Academy of Agricultural Science have disseminated to the whole country the reference books dealing with sci-tech requirements for overcoming the disastrous abnormal weather and cultivating crops safely and quickly and multimedia for widely advertising advanced agricultural sci-tech products.

And they have come up with scientific and technological measures to overcome drought and stimulate the growth of wheat and barley on the basis of detailed survey of the growth state across the country, and sent them to farms across the country.

Kim Il Sung University has pushed ahead with the work to introduce the method of fertilizing rice fields while irrigating them into many farms across the country. Kim Chaek University of Technology and the State Academy of Sciences manufactured more than 100 pieces of water treatment equipment and hundreds of tons of natural bioactivator.

Meanwhile, scientific farming promotion teams organized in each province are giving effective scientific and technological guidance to the immediate farming processes and conducting the work to utilize the scientific research achievements conducive to attaining the goal of grain production this year.
