A seminar and a technical course were held at the Academy of Agricultural Science on Thursday through video conferencing, under the sponsorship of the Korean Agricultural Technology Association of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

The seminar, held on the theme of "Improving the ripening of grain crops", heard valuable papers presented by scientists, technicians, teachers, researchers and field officials of various units.

The participants exchanged with each other their experience over the scientific and technological issues for raising pollination rate and ripening rate of grain crops, minimizing damage by disastrous abnormal weather and exterminating harmful insects spreading in the latter half of the growth period of grain crops.

Given at the technical course, held on the theme of "Use of crop growth stimulants", were lectures on the effectiveness of natural biological activators, various plant nutrients and growth regulators.
