Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery

The Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery was built in the capital city of Pyongyang, DPRK, in July of Juche 102(2013) on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.
The cemetery is associated with the warm care of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who ensures that the defenders of the country in the 1950s lead the eternal life. Buried in the cemetery are the fighters who performed the heroic feats in the battles against the U.S. imperialist aggressors under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung, the ever-victorious iron-willed commander.
The cemetery consists of a monument bearing President Kim Il Sung’s proposition, gatepost built in a peculiar style on the basis of formative art around the Memorial Tower of the People’s Army Martyrs, wreath-laying stand, monument to a poem dedicated to hero soldiers, groups of sculptures and graves of fallen fighters.
The Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery is a grand monument erected by warm love of our Party for the revolutionary soldiers.
