A party and government delegation of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) headed by Liu Guozhong, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and vice-premier of the State Council of China, visited the cemetery of martyrs of the Chinese People’s Volunteers (CPV) in Anju City on Sunday to lay a floral basket at it.
Accompanying the delegation were Mun Song Hyok, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Kim Yong Sop, chairman of the Anju City People’s Committee, and Wang Yajun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK.
Members of the guard of honor of the Korean People’s Army lined up at the cemetery.
The national anthems of the PRC and the DPRK were played.
A floral basket in the name of the Chinese party and government delegation was laid at the monument to martyrs of the railway units of the CPV.
Written on the ribbons of the floral basket were the letters reading "The martyrs of the Chinese People’s Volunteers will be immortal".
The visitors paid silent tribute to the memory of the CPV martyrs who fought bravely, never hesitating to devote even their lives to the sacred war of justice for defeating the imperialist aggression and thus recorded a brilliant page of militant friendship and solidarity in the history of DPRK-China friendship.
Then the members of the delegation made a round of the cemetery.
