Officials and shock brigade members of Kangwon Province push ahead with the damming project of Kosong Army-People Power Station at final stage true to the Party’s intention to accelerate building of hydroelectric power stations.

The officials directed efforts into enhancing the operation rate of heavy machines and vehicles while ensuring the quality of damming construction.

Although the construction was in unfavorable condition because of disastrous climate in rainy season, they propelled the work for supplying enough stones and sand needed for the construction without interruption.

They devoted their wisdom and efforts to conveying sand and stones as well as compacting them with consciousness that the height of the dam meant the degree of their patriotic enthusiasm.

The officials and lorry drivers of the Kangwon Provincial Construction Machinery Brigade made daily successes in conveying materials.

Amid the fierce flame of socialist emulation, success was made in covering large area of the dam with stones.

Meanwhile, officials and working people of different units including the Songdo Machine-building Factory manufactured the equipment needed for the construction and sent them in time, so that the success was made in assembling generating equipment.

Similar success is made by officials and employees of the Wonsan Youth Power Station in charge of assembling generating equipment.

Now, the officials, Party members and working people of the province make fierce struggles for completing the construction of the power station as soon as possible by displaying indomitable spirit.
