True to the decisions of the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee, the Material Science Faculty of Kim Il Sung University made a success in making the faculty into the top-ranking one.

After the 8th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the faculty mapped out the detailed plan for making the faculty into the top-ranking one while integrating the education, scientific research and production.

On the basis of this, the faculty strengthened the ranks of educators and the foundation of experiments and practical training to improve the quality of education.

The faculty put primary efforts into improving the specialized skills, foreign language abilities and IT abilities of its researchers and educators.

As a result, many teachers and researchers received the February 16 Science and Technology Prize and contributed numbers of papers to world-famous scholarly journals.

In addition, the faculty built the basis for producing high-tech goods and experiments and practical training while making the contents of education practical, comprehensive and up-to-date.

According to the detailed plan, the faculty pushed ahead with the work for consolidating the foundation for making it into the top-ranking faculty for several years.
