Ri Ji Hun, a student at the Faculty of Electric Engineering of Kim Chaek University of Technology, took the first place in total standing at the 4th memory contest of university students held in November participated by excellent students selected at the quick reading contest of colleges and universities of technological field and teacher training field.
After receiving the diploma Ri Ji Hun impressively said:
"The honor I received today is owing to the grateful socialist system rather than my talent and enthusiasm."
Ri’s parents are ordinary workers in Kanggye City. Thanks to the benefits of the socialist educational system, he learned to his heart's content under the prodigy training system and entered Kim Chaek University of Technology. During the days he wished to be an excellent scientist known to the whole country.
One day he heard the news that our players won the World Memory Championships to raise the flag of the DPRK. He wished to take part in the World Memory Championships.
Then Kim Un Gyong, a teacher who trained the winners of the International Grandmaster of Memory Prize, called on him to invite to the quick reading group.
He could fully display his talent in the group.
He keenly felt the benevolence of our system where all the people form a large family seeing teacher Kim Un Gyong, who taught him exquisite principle of quick reading and memorizing while taking care of him with kindred affection, and officials and students of his faculty who encouraged him.
He made up his mind to exert himself to repay the grateful socialist system of our country.
So, he could take the special grade twice in the quick reading and memorizing contest of colleges and universities of technological field.
Ri Ji Hun and other participants in the contest are sons and daughters of ordinary families. They are able to develop their talents thanks to the grateful socialist system.
