Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends Greetings to Chairman of Chongryon Central Standing Committee

Kim Jong Un, president of State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, sent a message of greeting to Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on January 1.

In the message the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un extended warm compatriotic greetings to the chairman and all other officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan on the occasion of 2024, a year to shine with a great new victory, after seeing out 2023, an unforgettable year in which the dignity and national power of our state have reached outer space with pride.

Last year Chongryon and Koreans in Japan fully demonstrated once again the nature of Chongryon through the celebrations of the 75th founding anniversary of the DPRK and other political and cultural festivals and the implementation of patriotic tasks, and also vigorously conducted a patriotic mass movement, an innovative emulation movement, thus leaving a clear trace in the great development course of the prosperity of Chongryon, the message said, adding:

I extend warm thanks to all the officials of Chongryon and the compatriots who have devoted themselves to the prosperity of our great state and the victorious advance of the movement of Koreans in Japan with their single mind oriented towards the socialist homeland despite harsh difficulties in alien land.

I firmly believe that all Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan will in the future, too, bring about a substantial development and change in the struggle to usher in a new heyday of the movement of Koreans in Japan with their patriotic and inexhaustible devotion in 2024, bearing in mind the benevolent images of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

I wish all the officials of Chongryon and all dear compatriots in Japan good health and their families joy and happiness in the hopeful New Year.
