Culture 2024.1.1.

Inhabitants of mine villages in the Komdok area moved into new houses. A new history of great change is being created in the Komdok area according to the grand plan of the Central Committee of the great Workers’ Party of Korea.

Low- and single-storied dwelling houses for thousands of households with diverse architectural beauties and unique forms were built along the deep gorge of the Komdok area, a leading large mineral production base, thus presenting a splendid scene in the new era when the region changes.

The ceremonies of moving into new houses took place in those villages.

Present there were Kim Song Gyu, vice-chairman of the South Hamgyong Provincial People’s Committee, and officials, workers and inhabitants of the General Bureau of the Tanchon Area Mining Industry, the Komdok Mining Complex, the Ryongyang Mine, the Taehung Youth Hero Mine and the Ryongchon Mine.

At the ceremonies the licenses for the use of the houses were conveyed and congratulatory speeches were made.

Then cheerful dances were given and the people moved into their new houses. Officials visited the houses to share joy with the owners.
