True to the idea and spirit of the 9th plenum of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials and working people of Kangwon Province and Nampho Municipality are actively supporting the metal industrial sector from the very outset of the new year.

On Jan. 4, Kangwon Province sent a large amount of scrap iron to the steel front.

As a part of work for carrying out the tasks set forth by December 2023 Plenary Meeting of the Party Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee has organized the work for supporting the steel front in a meaningful way.

Under the guidance of the committee, provincial officials have raised enthusiasm of units for sending more scrap iron to the steel front while taking thorough measures for transportation.

Officials of the provincial organs including the Provincial People’s Committee and the posts and telecommunications management bureau have organized the transportation of gathered scrap iron in a responsible way, thus sending a large amount of scrap iron.

Wonsan City takes the lead in sending the scrap iron.

The Province does not rest on the laurels and makes continuous efforts to send more scrap iron to metal factories.

Nampho Municipality has conducted scrupulous organizational and political work for giving full play to the patriotic zeal of the masses for assisting the steel front.

Working people of the Municipality have turned out as one to gather scrap iron with ardent patriotism.

On Jan. 4, a hundred and scores of trucks fully loaded with scrap iron left for the Chollima Steel Complex and other metal factories.

The citizens make continuous efforts to gather more scrap iron and send them to the steel front.
