South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK is rendering positive assistance to the metallurgical industry in hearty response to the resolutions of the 9th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The provincial rural economy committee, the provincial land and environmental conservation bureau and other provincial organs took the lead in the assistance campaign by collecting a large amount of scrap iron.

The Hamhung Youth Electric Appliances Plant, the Hungnam Pharmaceutical Factory and the Hamhung Woolen Mill secured a lot of scrap iron in a short span of time.

Working people in cities and counties of the province, too, offered metal factories the scrap iron they collected at their workplaces and villages.
