Officials and coal miners of the Namyang Coal Mine turned out to implement the decisions of the 9th plenary meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee and increased the coal production from the outset of the new year. Some time ago the newly-installed 3rd stage belt conveyor of thousands of meters began its operation.

As a result, the mine increased the coal transportation capacity while saving much labor, equipment and material, thus attaining high records in coal production.

Last year, the Ministry of Coal Industry and the Tokchon Area Coal Mining Complex mapped out the plan to install the 3rd stage belt conveyor in a shortest span of time and organized the command in a scrupulous way to carry out the project. Officials of the ministry and the complex went to the coalface frequently to learn in detail the reality and find out the realistic method to accelerate the installation. Meanwhile, they put efforts into providing the material for production of accessories of belt conveyor.

Officials of the mine also conducted the frontline political work to implant the importance of the 3rd stage belt conveyor project into masses.

They concluded the overall assembly of facilities by late December last year and solved the problems arising in trial operation successfully. Now they heighten the operation rate of the 3rd stage belt conveyor and increase the coal production.
