Meetings took place in North and South Phyongan, South Hwanghae, North Hamgyong and Ryanggang provinces and Nampho Municipality to vow to thoroughly implement the resolutions of the 9th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).

Present there were officials of local Party and power organs, working people’s organizations, industrial establishments, farms and universities and working people and youth and students.

Conveyed at the meetings were warm thanks from the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to all the Party members and people and servicepersons across the country who contributed to filling 2023 with successes of loyalty and patriotism.

Reporters and speakers said that the significant 2023 was glorified as a year of great turn and great change in which a great footprint was left in the glorious course of development of the DPRK under the wise leadership of the Party.

They stressed that every sector and unit should steadily concentrate efforts on the 12 major goals of key importance in developing the economy and improving the people’s living standard by further boosting the offensive spirit on all fronts of socialist construction and provide a clear practical guarantee for the fulfillment of the five-year plan.

They ardently called upon all the officials and working people, who hardened it as their bounden duty and nature to respond to the call of the Party with life-and-death practice, to make redoubled efforts and fully demonstrate once again the courageous fighting spirit and stamina in the new year’s advance.

Letters of pledge to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the meetings before the start of mass demonstrations.
