From the outset of the New Year officials and working people in the field of mining industry have made successes in the mineral production in keeping pace with all the people’s fresh advance to attain the goals set forth at the Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The Ministry of Mining Industry set this year’s target to carry out the tasks of the 9th plenary meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee and takes measures for increasing mineral production on the basis of successes they achieved last year.

Mindful that to find rich mineral deposits as much as possible and provide mining conditions is important for increased production, officials of several mines went to the spots to solve arising problems in time and arouse the producer masses to the vigorous drive.

The officials and workers of the Phungnyon Mine achieved good results in the first production of apatite concentrates.

The mine produced the apatite concentrates twice more than planned on January 3.

The working class of the Yongyu Mine also made high results in the production from the first day of the New Year by pooling their skills and wisdom.

The mine ensures activated production raising the rate of operation of equipment for mining and mineral dressing.

The working class of the Unpha Mine and other mines over-fulfill the daily plans ensuring full operation at full capacity, being conscious of responsibilities and duties for hitting the goal of nonferrous metals.
