Tens of young people in North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK volunteered to work at major worksites for socialist construction.

Their good deeds well show the will of the rising generation to make a breakthrough of advance in theaters for attaining the goal set forth by the Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).

Young people in Puryong, Onsong, Hwadae and other counties advanced into metal industrial establishments and coal mines.

Youth league members in Hoeryong City, Myongchon County and other cities and counties advanced into the agricultural front, a major thrust area in socialist construction.

Youths of Kim Chaek City and Kilju County joined the city and county construction brigades.

A meeting took place at the Chongjin Theatre on January 12 to congratulate those volunteers.

Present there were Choe Yong Ho, secretary of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK, officials of the youth league and young people. The certificates of petition were conferred on the volunteers and congratulatory address and speeches were made.

Officials and young people in the province presented bouquets to the volunteers and warmly saw them off.
