Officials and working people in the chemical industrial sector, who are out in the drive for implementing the resolutions set forth at the 9th Plenum of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, have continuously concentrated forces on the Juche-oriented Projects.

As a part of it, the spirit of continuous offensive is fully displayed at the construction site for modernizing the Sinuiju Chemical Fibre Mill.

Under the scientific operation and detailed organizational work of its headquarters, the officials and builders from many units of North Phyongan Province have redoubled their efforts to advance the date of the construction work of dozens of structures ahead of schedule by introducing original and bold working method in keeping with the winter conditions and settling the necessary equipment by itself.

Also the scientists and technicians taking part in the construction solved the scientific and technological issues arising in the modernizing project, building of installation of paper machine and test production of Lyocell.

While pushing ahead with the establishment of catalyst production process with our own raw and other materials in its final stage, the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex has put spurs to building the production building equipped with another new production process.

The Hungnam Fertilizer Complex, too, has put big efforts into laying a firmer current production foundation including the work for transforming the various production processes into labour- and electricity-saving ones.

Meanwhile, the Myonggan Chemical Factory has made a big stride in the work for establishing the our-style new low-temperature dry distillation process of brown coal.
